Belén is the branch where Medellín found Guadalupe without going to Bello. Carrera 76 #32-128. The pin falls at 6.2381149, -75.5966455, in El Nogal, two blocks from Parque Belén. It opened in June 2018. From Parque Belén station on the Metroplús it is about five minutes on foot. That is the right arrival. A car on Friday night is the wrong one.
What to order when there is a line
The Friday line exists. Arrive before seven or accept twenty-five minutes, which is what someone counted after coming with a paisa friend and leaving happy anyway. While you wait, decide: four flautas, $13,900 in 2019, and three tacos, which ran from $13,900 to $18,900. Those prices are not today's. The shape of the order is. If the table is four, add a chicken or meat main, old range $14,900 to $24,900, and do not order four identical burritos. People get bored.
Sauce on the edge. Margarita after the starter, not in the line, because tequila plus hunger means you over-order and Guadalupe serves a large portion. The long card and the other rooms are on the Guadalupe menu. 604 448 8958 is the older phone attached to the Medellín operation. 301 493 3887 is the one that circulates with the brand.
Park, Metroplús, and the block
Parque Belén is the reference. If you tell the driver “in front of the park” you get close, not to the door. The last two hundred meters are walked. The church and the park orient better than “32-128” said fast. At night the neighborhood is alive. It is not El Poblado and it does not pretend to be. It is Belén, with families at the tables and Friday noise.
If the wait passes half an hour, Laureles is on circular 76 and sometimes breathes differently. Obra 2000 is the original, in Bello, calmer on a weekday. Do not leave a Belén line for Itagüí. Crossing south hungry to save twenty minutes is a bad equation.
The room on this corner
The Virgin emblem has to be visible. It is the brand. The page cover puts it on dark green, centered. This room is no longer the first shop with two employees. It is a Medellín branch, with the same food and more people who recommended it. Ask for the little box with the check without rushing. Eat the flautas when they come out, not when you finish counting the line outside.
Belén is the easy door if you live in the southwest and Bello is another town. Use it on a Thursday, not only on Saturday. Thursday you understand the place. Saturday you understand the fame. Both are worth it. Once, I would come on Thursday, order flautas and tacos, and come back on Saturday only if the first night left appetite and not only fullness.
